There is a silently winning approach in the field of Information and Communication Technologies today. It is hard to individuate where this approach wins, because of the enormous amount of marketing communication flooding our screens.
This post was catalyzed by discussion within the Dyne.org community on scenes of “kids in cages” at the US-Mexico border, an image representative of the appalling conditions too many young people across the world face today.
This is an open letter to all the people who, in their good faith, are concerned about events that are shaking the long-standing leadership of the Free Software Movement.
A while has passed since my last “lockdown diary” posts, where I’ve done my best to share some reflections on what is happening and how tech is being used to alleviate our lives in Corona times — or perhaps hypnotize us.
