㊙️ Under the Radar, Shifting (S2026-E04)
Something is moving. Not with a bang, not with a manifesto. With the discreet sound of USB drives changing hands, of code being forked with intention, of conversations happening in places the algorithms haven't learned to listen yet.
Everything that once felt connected suddenly is. Interfaced by brittle constructions of channeled electricity, we project ourselves into the ether. And there, in the ocean of data, our identities blend. Locality becomes osmosis. And realms flow into each other through their veil. Welcome home, fellow dyne.
🕊️ In memory of Carola Frediani
Her death leaves a deafening void in the Italian cybersecurity, intelligence, investigative journalism, and digital rights communities.

🕊️ A moment of silence.
🌚 DarkFi's v0.3 alpha testnet
Our neighbours in the dark forest released a new version of the DarkFi proof-of-work (PoW) alpha testnet. This milestone leads us another step toward an anonymous, uncensored, and sovereign future: the future we were promised but don't yet have.
It's a good one, have a look for yourself!

📸 Hasciicam
If you've spent a minute on Planet Dyne, you likely remember the legendary Hasciicam. It's a smol piece of software that lets you broadcast video in the simplest of ways: turning images into text (ASCII) and uploading it to a server. Those on the other side of the WiFi-antenna can visit a website that automatically refreshes the text every X seconds. Lightweight, elegant, and most of all: stylish!

Regardless of whether you remember, do we have good news for you?
Yes, Hasciicam has seen a major upgrade; it is now at version 2! This version even runs on Mac and Windows. It allows you to tweak the settings live in the SPL mode (-O SPL with libsdl2 installed). And all the goodness, like the original fonts from the AA-project crew, is still there! This is THE thing to plug into your OBS or VJ:ing setup!
🎤 Vatican mic-droped, and we agree
The pope calls to "disarm" AI, just like nukes. Quotes Nehemiah rebuilding walls, brick by brick. Warns against data tainted by prejudice, algorithms blocking healthcare, and autonomous weapons nobody can govern.

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. In fact, Planet Dyne goes way back with the Rome Call!

The Kingdom of Gogole, planet Earth
In a totally non-shocking turn of events, Gogole (not a typo, no) continues to extend its tentacles and to lobby its way into our lives. If nobody takes charge on a governmental level, it looks like the governments, their institutions, and financial apparatuses will have to choose between sovereignty and access to digital infrastructure. Well, that's not how the whole schtick is framed, but just imagine logging in to your government web portal, and only approved phones can pass Gogole’s new reCAPTCHA, locking out privacy-focused alternatives, and well, you know... potentially locking out the government too! Why not?

That is, of course, a nightmare scenario unlikely to happen! We have no reason to fear any of that, as long as we're not doing Gogole any harm... ...right?
Here's what you can do about it!
The good news is that the kids get it!
In fact, one of the Gogole dudes en chief was booed during a graduation speech, for making a marketing pitch about a shiny new robot. Let the sound of discontent ring!

Meanwhile, Gogole is getting worse and worse at what it is supposed to do best, and anyone can participate in degrading their service by publishing a simple but serious-looking website!
