2025 was an incredible year! Hundreds of people from event-volunteers to mentors contributed to the Web3Privacy Now mission - shift power dynamics towards the "internet of freedom".

United in privacy is our approach to alignment between many different players from Tor Project to Ethereum Foundation. Events like Cypherpunk Congress #2 with speakers from Electronic Frontier Foundation or Brave, Cypherpunk Retreat with 100-tech leaders from Bluesky to Internet Archive prove that cypherpunk ethos is alive and evolving.

  • Exclusive announcements: David Chaum on mixnet partnership (xx.network + Nym), Kohaku wallet launch by Vitalik Buterin, Nicolas Consigny, Kassandra;
  • 20 partners from Ethereum Foundation to Zcash

Cypherpunk Retreat
Close collaboration between 100 tech leaders: http://cypherpunk.camp

Three days event with dedicated working groups (decentralised identity, decentralised messaging etc). Wonderful people from Bluesky, Tor Project, Internet Archive, Oxford, Session, Ethereum Foundation, Filecoin Foundation & many more. Continued with fellowships working on, for example, stablecoin privacy, further working group on Decentralised Messaging or Identity, or partnerships like Ethereum Foundation & Tor Project (which led to "onionizing Ethereum" narrative)
